Torn Between Two Lovers
Chapter One
Rachael was waking up. She stirs, sits up and feels the immediate pain coming from her head “Ouch!” She thought. Major hangover.
She looks beside her, which clearly showed that she didn’t come home alone last night and remembered what happened.
She met a guy, a quite handsome one in her opinion
He approached her, they got chatting, he bought her drinks
Gave her a few of his ‘best’ chat up lines, which she remembered could’ve been a bit better but she didn’t say anything to ruin her chance. They came home, with Rachael stone drunk and him a little drunk and did the obvious.
She shook her head: “Why are all men such holiday pigs!” She shouted aloud in her empty flat.
She was trying to look for a guy who loved her, cared for her and treated her like a princess. Basically all the things that girls want in guys.
“You are not going to find a man in a club are you?” her friends always told her. But she ignored them.
She looked at the clock on her bedside table
“Oh *****” She exclaimed “I’m late!” She jumped out of bed only to realise that she had nothing on! She grabbed some clean clothes from her wardrobe and jumped in the shower.
Ten minutes later she runs out of the shower, changed and begins to put her make-up on. After another 10 minutes she grabs her jacket, keys and bag and heads out the door
“holiday ‘ell! Hurry up would ya!” She yells hitting the steering wheel knowing full well that it won’t do anything but it sure will make her feel a helluva lot better.
“Some people have work to go to! I don’t have time for this!”
Then her phone rings. She digs her hands into her coat pocket but its not there. She then checks her bag.
She checks the caller ID before receiving the call.
“I‘m on my way, just in some traffic Loz,” She told her best friend
“Alright hun. But you do know that if you’re late once more then,”
“Yes” Rachael interrupted “I know. I’ve got a massive hangover right now Loz”
“Okay. Alright” Loz replied
“Is the boss there?”
“Nope. She’s on holiday remember?”
“Oh yeah!” She says reminding herself “Here I am rushing around when she’s gone on holiday” she said relaxing
“Yeah but Rach, but you still gotta get here in time. Josephine the miss perfect is gonna tell the boss everything”
“Yeah. I know. I’m just around the corner”
“Heeeey Rach!” Nads yelled at the other side of the phone
“Heeey” Rach replied
“She sounds down in the dumps doesn’t she?” Nads said to Loz
“She’s got a hangover hasn’t she?” Loz told her
“Pfff” Nads said
“Cool. So what did you get up to last night, need I ask?”
“Men are losers!”
“You needed to waste a night consuming god knows how much alcohol and spending the night with a complete stranger to tell you that?”
“Loz. I could do without the lecture right now” Rach moaned
“Alright. But you’re going to get it later!”
“Yes alright!”
“Hurry up yeah?”
“I’m turning the corner as we speak” She told Loz “Listen I’m going to go and get a tea from next door you two want anything”
“Get me an orange juice please! Cant stand tea OR coffee! Urgh!”
“Okay what bout Nads?”
“What do you want?”
“Sameeee ta!”
“Right. K. See ya”
“See ya” her best friend replied and Rachael ended the call
She finally got to her workplace. An old, monumental looking building. It needed decorating but the boss didn’t see a point. She parked her car in the staff car park and got out.
Rach and Loz both worked with the famous magazine Cosmogirl. Rachael worked as an interviewer, which meant that she met lots of famous people. Whereas Loz, well Loz didn’t really have a job title! She was just called ‘the typist’ She was the fastest typer in the building so she was given that job and that title. Rach got meet and greet the stars, whereas Loz, had her computer!
So Rach went into Costa Coffee (coincidence I swear lol), which was right next door to her workplace.
“Could I have one tea and two orange juices to take out please?”
“Sure” The woman replied
About five minutes later her order arrived, she paid and left the shop
She left the shop only to have her tea all over her brand new suit, which she bought the day before!
“I am so sorry!” A male voice said
“Can you not watch where you’re going??” She yelled paying no attention to the man who bumped into her. She hadn’t even looked up!
“Again I’m truly sorry!” He replied “Here” He said passing her numerous tissues
She snatched it from them still not paying any attention to the guy. Instead she was trying to clean her suit before it left a stain.
“God!!” She yelled and walked off. Only until she got to the lift, she realised that the voice sounded somehow familiar. By the time she got to the lift, it was too late. She shook her head and stepped into the lift.
She reached the level where her office and stepped out of the lift.
“Morning Rach”
“Heeey Rachael” Everyone said as she walked through past everyone
“Heeey peeps!”
“Rach!” She looked up to see Lozza and Nads
“I know!” She replied
“What the hell happened?!” Nads said
“Some prat bumped into me and got it all over my suit that’s what!”
“Well you best get ready cos Lee Ryan is on his way!” Nads said
“Lee Ryan??” She yelled
Loz looked around then whispered “Yes! Big gob!”
Nads just stood there laughing.
“Alright alright. Be right back!”
“Make- up time!” Loz giggled to Nads
“Lozza! Where is Rachael?”
“She’s in the toilets Josie. Give her a sec. Someone spilled tea all over her brand new suit!”
“One. Don’t call me Josie. And two. Get her out here: Lee Ryan has arrived”
“He’s here!” Nads said and looked to Loz smiling
“Go get her out!” Loz laughed.
Nads ran in and said “He’s here! Hurry u[ gurl!”
“Does it look alright?” Rach walked out of the loo’s with her hair tied up and her jacket off to reveal a light pink blouse
“Wow! Nice! I sure hope you aren’t planning to mix business with pleasure!” Nads smiles
“Who knows eh? You never know what might happen!” Rach giggled
Then they both walked out and looked at Loz
“Well?”
“Put your blouse a bit down” Loz smiled
“Ooh yeah oops!” Rach giggled and she did as Loz said “There. Now?”
“Perfect. I sure hope you aren’t planning to mix business with pleasure?” Loz said raising her eyebrows
“Nads said the same thing and I shall say to you what I said to her. You never know what might happen!” Rach smiled
Loz shook her head. “Go on!”
Rach looked at them both before walking into the interview room
Chapter Two
"Nads....if you could have any guy in the world who would it be?" Lozza asked Nads as soon as Rach went into the interview room with the photographer.
"Hmmmm...." Nads said drinking her orange juice "It would have to be Sy from Blue"
"Simon Webbe?" Loz asked her
"Yeahhhh. He's sexyyy" She swooned
"Hmm suppose"
"Well. What about you then?" She questioned
"Hmmm i'm thinking, Dunc"
She raised her eye-brow "Duncan James?"
"Okay do you have to repeat what I just said? Yes Duncan James!" Loz said shaking her head.
"Oooooh..." Nads smiled "Anways I wonder how it's going in there?"
"Hmmmm. They're probably in deep conversation"
"Ooooh yeah"
Meanwhile
"I'm Rachael, your interviewer" Rachael said sitting down. Lee sat opposite her and the photographer set his camera down
"I'm Lee...your interviewee" Lee said smiling, quite happy with the comment he just made
Rachael looked at him questioningly
"Can we get on with the interview?" She said
"Sure. Listen I'm sorry about the tea and the jacket"
She looked up "That was you??"
"Er...yeah" He paused "Sorry. Was in a bit of a rush"
"And you couldn't see where you were going?" She asked
"Ahem" The photographer interrupted
"Let's just get on with the interview at the moment"
"Sure"
She turned her dictaphone on and began "So. I'm here with Lee Ryan. So Lee. How does it feel to go solo?"
They continued the interview for nearly two hours whilst during that time the photographer took his photos.
Chapter Three
"Right. That's the interview done. Thanks for coming" Rachael said getting up
"Are you always sarcastic?"
"Are you always clumsy?" She questioned him back
"Thank you for coming" She repeated
"Listen." He said taking out a piece of paper and a pen "I'm having a house warming party on Friday, maybe, if you could fit it in your busines scheduale that is, you could come. You can bring your friends with you as well. I wanna get to know the, not so sarky and real you, cos I think under all that sarcasm there's a real person," He said passing it to her
"Thanks. I'll see" She said
"Cool. See ya" He said and walked out
As soon as she came out both Loz and Nads made their way towards her
"Soooo...?" Loz asked Rach when she came out.
"I can't believe what i've done!"
"What have you done Rach?" Nads said worriedly
"Throughout the whole interview I was so cold and sarcastic...he must think I'm a right idiot!"
"What's that in your hand babe?"
"Ohh." She said looking at the paper "That's his address "He's invited me to a party" She said unenthusiastically "On Friday"
"You what?!" Nads said
"He's just invited you to a party, and you think you've blown your chance?" Loz asked her
"Ohh yeahh!" She said suddenly catching on what Loz was saying and she perked up
"I swear, sometimes your worse than this one!" Loz said gesturing to Nads
"Oi!"
"He said I could invite my friend, would you girls come?" Rach asked
"Girl, you do not have to ask me twice!" Nads said
"Me neither!"
"Lozza!" Nads said looking at Loz suddenly
"What?" Loz said looking confused
"Sy and Dunc might be there!!" Nads said mouth wide open
"Oh my days!! Yeah! Crap!!" Loz said excitedely
Rach stood there laughing
"Make sure you're nicer to him though!" Nads said
"Yeah. I will be. It's just you both know my past experiences with guys!"
"Yeaah. But I've got a big inkling that this is for real" Loz said
"Yeah?" Rach asked
"Yeah hun" She said walking and standing in the middle of them with her arms round them both, hugging them.
"Do you know what?" Nads said
"What?" Loz and Rach asked
"It's times like these that I'm GLAD I'm working here!" She said and they agreed whole heartedely.
"If Amal could hear this she'd want to be here as well." Rach said
"Well why don't I phone her and get her over here?"
"She'd love you for it Loz!" Nads told her
"Right well it's settled. She's coming whether I have to pay for her flight or not! It's been agesss since I've seen that girl!" Loz smiled
"Wicked. It'll be just like old times!" Rach smiled
"Indeed" Nads said and we laughed. Amal ALWAYS used that word
"I'll ring her later, then we can decide when to go shoping"
"Wicked!!"
Laughing, they all went back to desks and got on with their work.
Chapter Four
“That was one looooong day!” Rach said as the three of them walked out of the building
“Innit” Nads said then turned “You okay Loz?”
“Me? I’m finee” Loz smiled
“Sure? You’ve been quiet since Lunch” Rach noticed as they walked into the car park
“I’m finee” She smiled “Come on. Any of you two need a lift?”
“Nope we’re cool”
“Okay. I’ll see you both tomorrow then”
“Okayy. See yaa Loz!”
“Later girls” Loz said and got into her Ferrari Modena (loveee that car!)
She sat in her car and before she started the car she put her cd player on.
Blue’s Breathe Easy came on.
“Oh my days!” She whispered but left it on.
She drove home and turned the ignition off and grabbed her things.
She sighed then got out of the car.
Reaching her door she opened the lock and walked into her home.
She decided to ring Amal first. As she was the only one who knew about it
“Hello?” you could hear her American accent stand out
“Heeyy Hun”
“Lozza!!” She screamed, “Heey”
“How are you babe?” Loz smiled
“I’m fine how bout you?”
“I’m good. I suppose”
“Suppose? Explain girl”
“I’ll tell you later. First things first, how come you aren’t at work?”
“Ohh er” She paused “I quit” She told me
“What?? Amal. What happened?”
“It got too much Loz. I can’t stand it there. I’d rather be there with you three”
“Well it’s kinda a good that you aren’t working anymore”
“Why?” She asked questioningly
“You are going to be able to see your sweetheart again!” I said waiting for the screaming
“What??” She shrieked as I expected I took the phone away from my ear and when she finished she said “Loz. Do not kid me!”
“I’m not. I’m going to pay for you to come down here. That’s what I was calling to tell you. Rach had to interview someone and they invited her and her friends to a party where HE is going to be!”
“How can you be so sure? And who did Rach have to interview?”
“You won’t believe it Amal” Loz said then sighed
“Lozza. You are kidding me?”
“It’s true”
“*****”
“Yeep”
“Did he see you?”
“Yeah he gave me a wink and a smile but I ignored it”
“Good. holiday w**nker!”
“Amal!”
“Sorry Loz but he is!”
“Yeah well...”
“So what happened?”
“Well it looks like Rach has fallen for him. I am happy for her, I really am but I cant help but want to warn her”
“Listen don’t warn her until you’re sure that she’s fallen for him and even when you do, do it subtly”
“Yeah I will. He might have changed though”
“Lozza. What was the last thing you said when you saw the papers?”
“Once a player always a player” they both said “Yeah. But….” She paused “I don’t know Amal. I really don’t. Anyways let’s change the subject”
“Alright”
“Are you coming?”
“Damn right I am!”
Loz laughs “Cool. You want me to pay for ya?”
“No!” She said 2its cool. I’ll pay my way, you do enough already”
“Only if you’re sure?”
“Yes”
“Alright you’re staying at mine though”
“Okay cool”
“Knock knock”
“Sorry Loz”
“It’s cool hun…I better go as well”
“Okay when’s the party? I’ll book the flight as soon as and get over there”
“This Friday” Loz laughed
“Okay cool” Amal laughed with her
“See ya hun. Take care”
“I will you too. Send my love to the girls”
“I will now go. Whoever’s at the door wont wait all that long!” Loz laughed
“Okay” She laughed “Bye”
“Bye” Loz said and ended the call
She went and watched the TV before going to make something to eat and sitting in front of the tv for the rest of the evening.
Chapter Five
Loz went to work next day and saw Rach and Nads
“Hey Loz”
“Hey.”
“Did you ring Amal last night?”
“Yeah I did. She told me that she quit from her job”
“What?! Why?”
Loz shrugged her shoulders then said “It just got too much for her”
“Aww”
“Yeah.” Loz said searching for her folder. “Where is it?!”
“Loz. You alright?”
Loz looked up “Yeah of course. Why what’s up?”
“I dunno. You seem distracted”
“No. I’m fine.” Loz smiled
“Okay”
“Anyways she’s going to make sure she gets here for the party”
“Ooooo wicked!” Nads said getting excited
Loz then found picked up her folder, made her way to her desk and got on with her work. Rach and Nads went back to what they were doing.
Loz logged onto her emails and saw that Amal had sent her one,

Loz picked up the phone and rang her. Yes it was long distance. But heyy who cares
Loz was halfway through the conversation with Amal when ‘Josephine’ interrupted.
“I hope that isn’t a personal call!”
“I’m nearly done!”
“You best be!”
“Listen hun. I gotta go”
“Ok”
“We’ll be there at 5pm”
“Cool. Seeeee ya then”
“See ya” Loz laughed and put the phone down “Nads. Rach”
“Yeah?”
“Amal’s arriving tomorrow at 5. You two coming to the airport right?”
“I got an interview tommorw”
“Yeah and I’ve got to help her” Nads said rolling her eyes “Something about the photographer needing help”
“And they happened to choose you?”
“Yep. Lucky me eh!”
“Sor-ryyy” Rach apologised
“Yeah sorry Loz”
“Ahh it’s alright. I’ll get her myself” Loz said and went back to her desk
The day ended and the girls went home.
The girls had decided that they would go shopping the next day. Which was a Wednesday, Nads told them that Amal might have jet-lag but Loz laughed and said she was positive that Amal wouldn’t.
The next day flew past. Loz had already cleaned the house and gotten changed. It was now 4:30pm so she made her way to the airport. After 45minutes she arrived at the airport so she parked her car and got out.
She stood there waiting for half an hour until finally she spotted Amal. Loz gave her best friend a smile and she was returned with one.
Chapter Six
“Heeey!” Amal yelled and ran towards Loz smiling
They hugged then Amal said “How are you”
“I’m okay. How about you? Suffering from jet lag?”
“Hell no! I slept during the flight so I’m great!”
“Good.”
“How’s the little one?”
“She’s great. My cousin wanted to look after her for the week” Loz smiled
“Awww bless.”
“Yeah. Well I’m glad to hear you aren’t suffering from jet lag” Loz said as she took over Amal’s trolley. They started walking out of the airport and towards the car park “Because we are going shopping!”
“Oooh yay!”
Loz stopped and had a pretend shock face.
“Amal! You’re acting more and more like a girl every time I see you!”
Amal laughed and pushed Loz gently “Oi! Rude!”
“You know I love ya really” Loz smiled putting an arm round Amal
“Yeah!” She rolled her eyes
They reached the car park and got into Lozza’s car.
“Loz.”
“Yeah” Loz said doing up her belt
“You still haven’t mentioned it”
“Mentioned what?” Loz said then looked up to see Amal’s face “There’s nothing to mention girl”
“There is! What are you gonna say to him when you see him?”
“Nothing at all” Loz said starting the car
“Loz!” Amal said in disbelief” “You gonna tell the other two at least?”
“There’s no point” Loz said backing her car out of the parking space
“Lozza! They’ll wanna know!”
“Yes! I know! But not yet Amal.” Loz said as they left the airport “How do I explain it to them?”
“Just tell them. Stop trying find ways to delay it”
Loz sighed “I’ll tell them soon then”
“Lozza!”
“I will. I promise. Soon”
“It best not be the night we go”
“That would be so much easier!”
“It’ll be even easier NOT to do it at all wouldn’t it? But you have to!”
“Let’s just get in Amal, please” Loz said softly as they both got out of the car and made their way inside Lozza’s house
Chapter Seven
Amal was sitting on the sofa hugging a pillow, whereas Loz was in the kitchen doing the dishes.
“Are we going shopping or what??” Amal moaned from the sofa
“You only just arrived and you want to rush to the shops as if they’re going to run out of clothes or something!” Loz said coming in to the living room drying her hands with a towel.
“Well...” She said not continuing her sentence and going back into a sulk
“Rach and Nads are on their way so we can go when they come over!”
“Fine! When they’re ready!” She complained
Loz found a pillow and chucked it at Amal “Lighten up miserable! If you’re gonna be like this then I’m sure as hell gonna send you back where you came!”
“Oh ha ha! Alright. I’ll lighten up”
“You best do”
“And you best tell them about…”
“Amal!” Loz said stopping her sentence
‘Knock Knock’
“I’ll get it” Loz said getting up and opening the door “I’ll do it in my own time girl”
“You’ll do what in your own time?” Rach said giggling as they stood in the doorway
“Oh….er” Loz paused “….choose my dress”
“Yeah. You know how long Loz takes to find the perfect dress!” Amal said walking behind Loz
“Amal!” Rach and Nads both shrieked as the three hugged
“Heeeey” She smiled
“Enough with the shrieking!” Loz laughed
“Ooh er. One thing to clarify,” Amal said pulling away from the hug
“What?” Rach and Nads said looking confused
“What happened to you two?” Amal said and they both looked at each other “What was so important that you couldn’t pick me up with Loz?” She said walking over to Loz and standing next to her
“Ahhh well. One word: Work”
“Always is with you two!” Amal shook her head
The three girls chatted for a while then “Now are we going shopping or what?”
“Yeah come on. We’re going in my car!” Lozza called out as they got their coats on
“Sounds good to me”
“Let’s go already!”
“We’re going! We’re going!”
“Good” Amal said leading them to Lozza’s car. They got in and Loz put her cd player on.
“Oooh yay!” Nads and Rach shrieked as Taste It came on
Amal looked over to Loz but Loz didn’t turn to face her.
“I love this song!”
“Ahhhh” Rach sighed “I cant believe he invited me to his party” Rach squealed
“I cant believe I’m going to be seeing Simon Webbe!”
“I cant believe I get to see Ant”
“And I can’t believe I’m being dragged along!” Loz whispered to herself as they parked the car and got out
If Lozza was honest, she was looking forward to go to the party because it meant that she would get to see Dunc again. They had clicked, but neither them had done anything about it. Lozza was also a bit anxious because she didn’t want to face Lee again. Flashbacks came back to her, of the happier times as the four of them walked into Zara
*Start of flashback*
“Ohh no! I am not going into Zara!”
“Come on Lee pleasee” Lozza pleaded as she pulled his arm to go into the shop
“Lozza!”
“I promise I wont be long”
“You always say that. But we know that isn’t true when it comes to you and your shopping”
“Pleasee?”
“Do I have a choice?” he sighed giving up.
“No, you never do” She smiled “But I love you” Loz smiled sweetly as they both walked into the shop together
*end of flashback*
“Lozza?”
She wiped her eyes and looked up to see Amal standing there
“If you aren’t up to it we can go back home”
“Nahh” Loz smiled “We came to shop and that’s what we’re going to do!” She said as they both walked into Zara following Rach and Nads
“Come on. Let’s join tweedle-dee and tweedle-dumb!” Amal giggled making Lozza laugh
“Oi!”
The girls managed to get themselves some gorgeous outfits and were happy with the stuff that they bought
Chapter Eight
Meanwhile later in Starbucks the girls had just finished shopping and were chatting about what they had bought and stuff
“You’ve only met him once and you’ve already fallen for him?”
“Well you haven’t met Simon and you’ve fallen for him” Rach said back
“Well that’s the difference. If I did meet him then I wouldn’t be as rude as you were to Lee!” Nads laughed
“I didn’t mean to be so rude. I was just having a bad day” Rach said trying to find an excuse
“Yeah yeah.” Amal and Nads teased
“Its true!” She defended herself
*Ring ring*
“Ooh it’s mine!” Rach announced she checked her phone “private number” She shrugged. She got up and went outside to answer it
“Hello? Lee!” Rach looked over to us and Nads gave her a massive grin
“You know, if you grin anymore you’ll be stuck with that expression for the rest of your life” Amal laughed
“Shut it!” She laughed.
Meanwhile Lozza was too interested in what Lee was saying to make Rach smile and laugh so much.
‘He always was a charmer when it came to the ladies’ she thought to herself. About ten minutes later Rach got off the phone came in, sat back down and said nothing
“What did lover boy have to say then?”
“he was just saying how he was looking forward to the party and stuff”
“Oooh” Nads and Amal teased
“Only two days to go though. So I’m sure you can wait that long!” Amal said
“I dunno if I can. He’s so sweeeeet” Rach gushed
‘I bet!’ Lozza thought “Rach.” She had to tell her
“And charming” She went on
“Rach” Lozza repeated
“What’s up Loz?”
“Er” She paused. She couldn’t say anything, not now “…Nothing. We’d best start heading off”
Amal glanced towards Lozza and gave her a look. Lozza just got up and got her things together.
The girls left and got back to Lozza’s.
“You girls staying for dinner?”
“Er, would love to but I promised mum that I’d go and see her, she seems to think I’m neglecting her!” Nads said
“I wonder why that is?” Lozza laughed “Alright hun. Rach?”
“I’m gonna head off as well. I’ll see you tomorrow after work though”
“Okay. Cool.”
”Hey hold up. Aren’t you going to work tomorrow?”
“Nope. I took tomorrow and Friday off”
“how come?”
“To spend some time with you of course!”
“Awww.”
“Alright. Alright. Don’t get all soppy!” Loz said rolling her eyes
“Oi!”
“See yaaa” Nads said then as she turned to go she looked at Rach still standing there, looking like she was in another planet
“Oi! LeeLover!” Nads said pulling her
“What? Oh yeah. Let’s go”
“Thank you. See ya”
“Byee” and they left
The next day went by quick. Lozza still hadn’t told Rach and Nads, even though Amal kept reminding her to.
That afternoon Lozza got a call
“Hello?”
“Lozza hey”
“Rich. Heey how are you?”
“I’m great. How about yourself?”
“Im fine ta. How was your holiday?”
“Yeahhh it was good”
“Behaving yourself I hope?”
“Of course!”
“Yeah.”
“Listen you don’t have any idea where Rach is do ya? I tried calling her phone but she isn’t answering”
“Really? That isn’t like Rach. I’m at home at the moment. But she should be at work.
Do you want me to try for you?”
“Nahhh it’s all good. Just let her know I called when you see her”
“I will do”
“cool cheers Loz”
“No probs. Hey”
“Yeah”
“Make sure you try and make time to meet up yeah?”
“Yeahhh course”
“Good. Later”
“Yeah. See ya”
Richard was Richard Fleeshman a huge admirer of Rachael’s. Richard had a huge crush on Rachael and he was one of those guys who would send flowers and chocolates.
And Loz had a relationship with him as you would with a younger brother.
“Who was that?” Amal asked Loz as she sat on the arm of the sofa
“Richard”
“Awww how is he?”
“He’s good. Apparently he’s been trying to call Rach but she isn’t picking up”
“What? That isn’t like her” Amal said confused
“Exactly what I thought, I’ll ring her later and find out what’s going on”
“Cool”
Later that evening Lozza phoned Rach and Rach told her that she liked Richard but not as much as she felt she had an ‘attraction’ with Lee.
Rach told Loz that she would get the situation with Richard sorted.
Chapter Nine
Friday evening came and Lozza started having butterflies in her stomach.
“***** amal I can’t do it!” Lozza said pacing up and down the living room
“Yes you can. I’m going to be there. And if he says a word to you, you watch what I do to him. But seriously you should’ve told them Loz. It isn’t right.”
“I know but I can’t help it if I’m too holiday scared!”
“Go and get ready. We’re getting late”
*Knock Knock*
“It’s Rach and Nads”
“Let them in would you. I’m gonna go and have a shower.”
“Sure”
“Thanks hun”
“No probs go on”
“Okay” Lozza said and ran up
Amal went and opened the door
“Heyy”
“Heeeey”
“You both look great!”
“Thanks. So do you
“How are you both? Nervous?”
“Yeah!” Rach said
“She’s worried that she’ll do something to embarrass herself
“Where’s Lozza?”
“In the shower”
“She not ready yet?”
“Nah. Not yet”
Meanwhile upstairs Lozza got out of the shower and started getting ready. She chose a long black dress which she’d hope get the attention she’d want from a certain person
She smiled to herself. Even thinking about him made her tingle. God know’s what she’d be like face to face.
“Loz!” Nads yelled
“Yeah?” She said emerging from her thoughts
“You ready yet?”
“Nearly!” She shouted back
“Alright. Don’t take too long. We have to be there for 8 it’s just gone 7:15” Rach shouted
“Alright I’m nearly done!”
“Cool”
She put her jewellery on and took one last look in the mirror. The butterflies were still in her stomach. She just couldn’t get rid of them.
“Right. The moment of truth!” She said out loud to herself. She grabbed her bag and made her way downstairs.
“Woo!” Was the response from the three girls
“Lozza you have outdone yourself!” Amal smiled
“Shut it!” Lozza laughed
“No seriously she’s right!” Nads said
“Yeah. You look amazing!” Rach added
“Awwww thanking you. So do you three.”
“Thank you” they giggled
“Let’s go”
“You ready?” Amal asked them all but directly looked at Lozza
“Yeahhh!”
“Yeah” Lozza smiled
“Let’s gooo”
“We’re going in my car” Nads said
“Cool”
“Er Rach.” Lozza said “Have you phoned Rich yet?”
“Erm. Not yet” She said sheepishly
“Rachael!”
“I’m sorry but I dunno what to say to him!”
“Just tell him the truth, poor guy”
They made their way out and to Nads’ car
Rach had given Nads a piece of paper with an address on it.
Most probably it was the address of the party.
About an hour later they turned into Salisbury Road.
Lozza couldn’t believe it as they turned into the driveway.
It was the house that Lozza and Lee lived together. She thought he’d have moved.
But he didn’t. Amal looked at Lozza and she looked back.
They got out of the car and made their way up the driveway.
“Girls? Are you ready?”
Rach sighed “Yeah. I think so”
“Loz?”
“As I’ll ever be” she said “Rach. Be careful please”
“Oh of course I will!” She smiled
“But just don’t get too caught up by what he says. He’s the kind of guy who would have you eating out of your hand”
“I promise I’ll be careful, you really have nothing to worry about Loz. He’s a great guy” She told Loz. Lozza looked at Amal who just shook her head.
Amal went to knock the door and they waited for about two minutes then she tried again:
The door opened “Sorry about that!” it was Lee. He looked Lozza’s way but she looked down “Ladies. Hello!”
“Heyy”
“Rach you look great” He said kissing her cheek but still focusing on Lozza
“Thanks” Rach smiled. She was grinning from ear to ear.
“Come on in”
“Sure”
They all walked in, the place was jam-packed.
Then Rach introduced the girls “Lee this is Amal, Nads and…”
“Lozza” Lee smiled
“How are you Lee?” Lozza said looking up
“I’m all the better now” He smiled
Rach stood there looking confused as did Nads
Amal just stood there shaking her head
Rach was about to open her mouth but was interrupted
“Lozza?!” They all glanced to the stairs where they heard the voice
“Gem!” She called “Sheila!” She walked towards them and hugged them both
“Lozza. Sweetheart how are you?”
“I’m fine. How are you both?”
“We’re both fine”
“Good” Lozza said
“Ahem!” Lozza looked back and saw Amal
“Heey Amal!” Gem said going to hug her
“Heey” She smiled back
“How are you hun?”
“Great. You?”
“I’m great. You wait til Ant sees you!”
Amal looked down smiling
“Awww bless!” Lozza said putting her arm round her
“Shut it Lozza!”
“Oooh” She laughed. She then looked over to Nads and Rach “Soz. Sheila, Gem these are my two best mates; Rach and Nads”
“Ahhh so you’re the lovely Rachael that my bro here won’t shut up about?” Gem asked teasing Lee
“Shut it Gemma!” Lee said
Rach went a shade of red
“Lovely to meet you both”
“You too”
“Go on Amal” Loz smiled “What are you waiting for?”
“Is everyone through there?” She asked, even though she knew they were
“Yeah” Lee smiled
“You go girl!” Loz smiled “I can’t wait to see his face!”
“Someone keep me up to date here!” Nads laughed
“I will. Come on” Loz said
Lee and Rach walked in together following Amal
Nads and Lozza walked in together followed by Sheila and Gemma
“Basically Amal and Ant were in love a few years back. Proper sweet. Until she had to move back to the U.S.”
“Yeahh. You just watch Ant’s face when they see each other and you’ll see how much they love each other!” Lee said and walked next to Lozza. She made no eye-contact with him she just made her way to the front next to Amal as she went upto Ant.
“Don’t have too much to drink; you’ll have a helluva hangover in the morning”
He turned round “Amal!!”
“Heey” She smiled
He said nothing but hugged her and swung her round
“Now that’s what you call a reunion”
“Too right!” Gem agreed
“Oh Syy!” Lozza said creeping up behind him
“Lozza!! Hey!” he said standing there in front of her
“Hey yourself, gimme a hug!” She laughed
They hugged then as they pulled away Sy looked over to Nads “Ooh who’s that?” Loz smiled
Then she pulled Nads over
“Sy this is my mate Nads, Nads of course you know this is Sy”
“Hey”
“Hey”
“Now you both know my subtlety, I’ll leave you to get acquainted”
“So Loz what’s the history between you and Lee?” Rach asked as Loz moved away from Sy and Nads
“I think you’d best ask Lee that one” She said and walked off
Chapter Ten
Lozza spotted Gem who was standing with some friends
“May I just say; you look amazing” Gem said as Lozza walked over to her
“Thank you” Lozza smiled
“Where did you get your dress from?”
“Ahh now that would be telling!”
“Ohhh like that is it?” Gem laughed
”It is!”
“Well there is one person who’d be over the moon to see you, as I am, of course”
“Of course” Loz smiled “Who?”
“Don’t give me that ‘who’?” Gem teased “Dunc” She whispered smiling
Lozza looked down at the floor “How is he?”
“Missing you like crazy”
“Really?” She looked up
“Yeah. When you left he was real upset. No-one noticed cos he kept himself to himself,”
“Where is he?”
“In the conservatory” She smiled “He pretty much stays on his own apart from when
he’s looking after Tianne”
“Yeah I heard. Whats that about? Are him and the mother together?”
“Noo. He told me he doesn’t wanna get into a relationship”
“Oh okay. Thanks Gem”
“My pleasure. You know. As much as Lee was a complete idiot. He did miss you too”
“I’d be lying if I said I didn’t miss him” Lozza told her
“Gem!” Sheila called
“I’ll speak to you later”
“Alright. Taa again”
“It’s cool” She smiled and walked off
Lozza stood there for a second then she looked up to see Lee on the other side of the room. He was watching her. She ignored it and walked off to the conservatory.
She saw a dark figure standing looking out the window. She smiled to herself.
“What’s this? You in here on your own? I would’ve thought you’d be out there enjoying yourself”
He turned around “Lozza?”
“The one and only” she smiled
he ran to her and hugged her “I’ve missed you soo much”
She held onto him closing her eyes for a second. “I’ve missed you too”
They pulled apart
“What are you doing here anyway?”
“Long story. I’ll tell you in a bit” She laughed
Then she heard a voice “Well. I’ve rung home. She seems to be fast asleep” a lady said walking in putting her phone back in her bag
“This must be Claire” Lozza said
”Yeah. Hi” She said back
“Claire, this is Lozza”
“Lozza?” She said stunned “Wow. Heey. Lovely to meet you”
“You too I almost forgot: Congratulations”
“Thanks” They both said
“How is she?” Lozza asked
“She’s fine. She’s just been running the babysitter ragged!”
“Awww bless. How old is she now?”
“2”
“Awww. Well they do at that age, don’t they?”
“Speaking from experience?” She smiled
“Yeah. I’ve got a daughter of 3”
“Really?” She asked
“Yep” Lozza said getting her picture out “I’ve only got this picture at the mo. I don’t take too many around with me” She laughed
“I take it you haven’t told him” Dunc said
“No. He doesn’t know”
“Lee’s the father right?” Claire said
“Yeah.” Loz replied
“I told her about you” Dunc said
“On many occasions”
“Shut it Claire!
“Well I think I’m going to go enjoy the night out while I can! Leave you two to catch up” She laughed “it was nice to have met you Lozza!” She said holding out her hand
“You too” Lozza smiled back shaking her hand
“See ya later”
“See ya”
Dunc sat down on the lounge chair and called Lozza to come over.
She made her way over to him and sat on the arm of the chair
”I can’t believe you let your hair grow!” She laughed playing with it. He smiled. “Had to keep the style right?” She joked “Are you still as protective as you were of your hair?”
“Of course!” he smiled
“Doesn’t surprise me!”
He looked up at her: “You look amazing”
She looked down
“Really?” She asked looking back up
“Yes. Really”
“I’m sorry I left like that Dunc I really am”
“It’s cool. Let’s not talk about the past.”
”You’re right” she said the looked out the window “it looks beautiful doesn’t it?” Lozza said referring to the garden view
“Yeah it does”
Lozza turned to face him. He was looking at her
“Flatterer” she laughed
“My middle name” he smiled.
They both looked at each other for a moment. Then dunc moved in and kissed her, passionately.
“I’ve been waiting for that for three years”
“So have I” Lozza smiled and they kissed again.
It was if for that particular moment, the world had stopped spinning. Just for them.
Meanwhile: Nads and Sy really hit it off, you could see that Amal was over the moon, as was Ant.
Rachael was a bit curious “Lee?”
“Yeah babe”
“What’s your history with Loz? I mean I really like you but I can’t help but wonder why it went wrong with you both”
“We just got together too young to be honest. That was it. We drifted apart. Has she said anything?”
“No. Nothing. I didn’t even know that you both knew each other until tonight”
“Really?” He asked surprised
“Yeah”
Chapter Eleven
“Well that’s in the past. I was hoping to concentrate on the present” he said with a cheeky grin.
“Oh really?” She grinned
“Yeah. How about I take you out tomorrow night? At about 7ish?”
“You don’t hang about do you?” she laughed
”Nope”
“Alright. Yeah” She smiled “Sounds good. I’ll give you my number”
“Great that’s settled”
“I can’t believe your back” Ant said to Amal
“Well believe it hun” she smiled “I am back. For good!”
“Promise”
“Absolutely”
“Glad to hear it” he told her
“Come on. Let’s go and dance!”
“Let’s go!” He said following her
“So does this mean what I think it means.” Dunc said standing behind Loz with his arms round her waist
“Nope”
“No?” he looked at her
“You don’t win me that easily Mr. James” She laughed “You gotta do it properly. Wine, dine the whole thing”
“Ahhh. Still the traditional girl I see”
“Of course”
“Okay. Well how about you come over to mine tomorrow and I’ll cook”
Loz turned to face him, putting her arms round his neck “Ooooh you cook? I wanna see this!” She smiled
“Settled then?”
“It sure is” she said “Make sure you cook something that I can eat!”
“I know. Don’t worry, I’ve got in mind what I’m gonna cook!”
“Not gonna disclose it?” She said
“Nope”
“Mean!”
“My other middle name” He said smiling
“Hey Loz. Dunc there you are. Lee’s about to make a speech”
“Okay. We’re coming” Loz said “Cheers Ant”
“No probs”
“Come on” she said pulling him up
“Have you bumped into him yet?”
“No. And I’ll be glad not to” She said as they made their way to the main room
Ant went back to Amal. He stood next to her and whispered: “Looks like Dunc and Loz are getting close”
“Really?” Amal said looking at him
“Yeah. I just caught them together. Looking very cosy” He smiled
“Well. It’s about time she had someone in her life” Amal smiled
“Yeah”
Lee had heard what Ant told Amal said and looked over to Loz and Dunc, they looked close, really close. He couldn’t help but feel a bit jealous. This had been the woman he loved and was married to!
“Right. Hey everyone. Can I have your attention please?” The room silenced “Thank you. I just wanted to thank you all for coming. It’s been a long time since I’ve seen my friends and loved ones under one roof. I hope you’re all enjoying yourself and feel free to indulge yourself as much as you want. It is free!” He laughed and then there was a round of applause.
“I just need to go to the loos” Loz said to Dunc
“Okay babe. I’ll get you a drink”
“Taa hun”
She knew her way around, so she went up to the toilets about five minutes later she came out
“Hey Loz” Lee said leaning against the doorframe of the bathroom
She was hoping to escape this meeting but it couldn’t be helped “I haven’t got anything to say to you”
“How are you?”
“Leave me alone. Please.”
She was about to make her way down the stairs but he stopped her in her tracks
“I’ve missed you, you know”
“Just let me past Lee”
“What? Cant we even talk now?”
“No.” She told him “We can’t”
“Lozza”
“Lee. Have you told Rach the real reason why we split?”
He didn’t reply
“I didn’t think you had, before you have any ideas about starting a relationship with her, tell her the truth and if you DARE mess her around I’m gonna make you regret it!”
“Lozza. We need to talk. Properly”
She sighed. She had to tell him sooner or later “Yeah. Okay. But not right now. I’ve got something to tell you, but now isn’t the right time or place for it. I’ll phone you tomorrow”
“Okay. Cool”
“See ya Lee” She said and went back downstairs
He made his own way down and was met by Rach “Hey”
“Hey babe. Come on” He said looking at Loz. “Let’s dance”
“Sure” She smiled
“Are you okay Loz?” Nads asked her
“I’m fine hun” Loz told her and so Sy and Nads went off to dance
“He best treat her right. I told him that I’d arrange to meet him tomorrow. I’m gonna tell him but I dunno what good it would do”
“It’ll be okay babe” Dunc said. Then he hugged her.
The rest of the party was great. Everyone was enjoying themselves.
The girls were talking in the next room when they heard a loud noise, noise of shouting as if someone was fighting
“What’s that?”
“I don’t know. But I have a feeling I don’t want to find out” Lozza said as they got up.
“What is going on?!” Was her reaction when she caught Lee and Dunc both being separated by Ant and Sy
“Nothing Loz”
“Dunc: Don’t tell me nothing when I can obviously see something is up” Loz said then went towards him. His nose was bleeding.
“Shoot!* Would someone please tell me?” she looked over “Lee?”
“it was nothing” he said catching his breath
“what is it with you men!”
“I think this party is over” Sheila announced and everyone started to leave
Everyone had left except for Amal, Rach, Nads, Sy, Ant, Dunc, Sheila, Gem, Loz and Lee
“Is either of you gonna explain to me or should I just leave?”
Dunc and Lee were both sitting opposite each other. They said nothing
“Alright” She sighed “I’m obviously not getting any answers!” She said grabbing her coat “I’m out of here. Girls are you staying?”
“Yeah.”
“Okay. I’ll see you all”
“See ya Loz”
“I’ll give you a lift Loz” Dunc said getting up
“See ya everyone. Thanks Gem, Sheila, Lee”
“See ya” Dunc said
Loz walked out the door followed by Dunc
He unlocked his car and they both got in.
“What was it Dunc? I know it was something to have got to you this much”
“It’s nothing at all. I swear”
He started the car. There was nothing said during the whole journey. So when Dunc pulled up outside Lozza’s house she said thanks and got out
“It was great seeing you tonight Loz” Dunc called out. Lozza turned back “Are we still on for tomorrow?”
“It was great seeing you too Dunc. And It’s up to you” she said then opened her door and let herself in
Dunc drove off home. He knew it wasn’t something for Loz to find out, that’s why he didn’t let her know.
“Me and Amal are gonna head off”
“Yeah so are we” Sy said
Lee looked up “Okay. Cheers for coming guys” he said then looked back down
They said their goodbyes and went.
Then Gem and Sheila also took off
There was only Lee and Rach left
“Why are you so wound up?”
“Cos he's an idiot!!"
“But he’s one of your best mates”
”Hah! A best mate wouldn’t steal my former wife”
“What!” Rach exclaimed standing up
“Yeah. I was married to her”
“How long for?”
“A year”
“A year? And you didn’t think to tell me?”
“Well it’s not something that you pop up in a convo: ‘oh by the way, your best mate is my ex-wife!’”
“But you could’ve told me”
“It’s not a big deal alright!”
“Alright!” she said backing off “well was it Loz you were fighting about?”
He didn’t answer, but that was what gave her her answer
“Alright. Well I’ll see you. You’re obviously not in a mood to be talking”
“Are we still on for tomorrow?”
“I don’t know Lee. If you’re up to talking” She said and with that she left
‘Lee and Loz?’ she thought as she sat in her car. She needed some answers before she went any further. She knew she wouldn’t get it from Lee, so she went to someone who she would get it from, Loz.
“Do you know what the fight was about Sy?” Nads asked him as they were back at his house, sitting on his sofa “I know Loz had a past with Lee. But. Oh it’s just confusing”
“Hun. Don’t worry about it. Lozza will sort it out. I know she will”
“Yeah”
“Do you think Lozza’s alright?”
“If I know Lozza, which I do, I think she just needs some time to herself. Get her thoughts together. She’s strong. She’ll sort it” Amal said
“Maybe you’er right”
“No maybe about it, I am right. I thought you’d have learnt that at least!” She laughed
“It was great to see Loz wasn’t it?” Sheila said as they got home
“Yeah. I just hope Lee doesn’t do anything stupid” Gem said
Chapter twelve
*Knock Knock*
Lozza looked at the clock:
“12am? Who would come at this time?” She asked herself
She got up from the sofa and went to open the door
“Rach? What are you doing here so late?”
“Yeah. I’m sorry about this. I just need to talk to ya”
“Sure. Come on in”
“Thanks” She said walking in
“What’s up hun?” Loz said sitting on the sofa opposite her
“I just wanted to know” She said looking down. “What happened between you and Lee?” She sighed “I know it’s not something you might want to talk about but Lee won’t tell me anything and I’m guessing it’s a touchy subject”
“I’m surprised that he didn’t tell you. Well do you wanna know the whole story? Cos it’s a long one”
“Yeah. It’s cool. Tell me”
“Alright” Lozza sighed. This was it “Well. A few years back I was studying to become a dancer, at this time Amal was living with me here. Just near central London. Well anyways. I met my best mate from secondary school, Lee and he offered me a job to be his back-up dancer. He was in a newly formed band and so I jumped at the chance. And, well it was great. Our friendship was back on track, but slowly this friendship turned into love and he proposed, which I accepted”
“Wow!”
“That’s not all of it” Lozza sighed “Well we were married for about a year and Blue were on their One Love tour. The concert had finished and everyone went back to the hotel. So I went to look for Lee. And I found him” She told her “In our hotel room. In bed with one of the dancers!”
“What?? The flipping c***!”
“But that’s just the thing. It wasn’t just the one occasion. Cos he sweet-talked me and managed to get me to take him back. And what happens a few days later? He does it again.
“Oh my God!” She said “So that’s why you warned me before we went into the party.”
“Yeah. I don’t want to see you hurt. That’s all” Loz told her “There’s one last bit I need to tell you. I dunno why I didn’t tell you or Nads this”
“What Loz?”
“The first time I found him. that day, I found out that I was pregnant with Jasmine. And I wanted to tell him after the concert but I caught him. So I didn’t tell him”
“So he’s Jasmine’s dad?”
“Yeah.”
“Does he know?”
“No I know I should tell him. but I don’t know if I want him in my daughter’s life”
“You gotta tell him. as much as a p***k he is”
“You gotta think about this Rach. That was three years ago. In the past. I think he likes you. A lot”
“Yeah?”
“Yeah. Because not only was I married to him. I also spent my childhood with him. so I know him better than anyone”
“But after doing all that”
“Rach. You cant judge someone by their past now can you?”
“Well he did ask me out for tomorrow night”
“Well there you go”
“You’re right”
“I know you’re confused at the moment. But you have to have faith”
“I know. You’re right. Thanks Loz” She said getting up
“Anytime hun” Loz said hugging her “By any chance. Did Lee tell you what the fight was about? I tried getting it out of Dunc but he wouldn’t say anything”
“No. Lee wouldn’t say anything”
“Being the stubborn git as ever I see”
“I’ll see you tomorrow”
“Okay”
“Oh I almost forgot. What’s going on with you and Dunc?”
“Well. Me and Dunc almost got together before I left. But I couldn’t handle it so I just went without telling him. Now that I’ve seen him, let’s just say, there may be hope for me yet” Loz giggled
“ooooh goo Loz!”
“Yeah. He’s cooking for me tomorrow” She smiled
“Oh yeah?”
“Yeah”
“Well you call me when you get back and tell me what happens”
“I will. Promise”
“See ya”
“Bye hun”
“Bye” Rach said and got into her car
Chapter thirteen
She drove off and Loz went back in. She sat on the sofa for a while. She felt better after telling Rach. She neeed to know
About ten minutes later Loz got ready for bed. She saw a picture of Jasmine on the shelf and smiled to herself. She hadn’t seen her baby for almost a week and she was missing her like crazy.
The next morning Rach woke up and saw that she received a text from Lee
“Hey babe. Sorry about last night. I didn’t mean to be so snappy with you. Can I c u 2nite? X “
‘Hey hun. It’s cool. I like you, a lot but I cant carry on wivout us bein honest wiv eachutha. Yeah sure. Where and what time?’
‘Yeah I know. I like u 2. I’l tel u wha u wana kna 2nite. L’artisa? 7pm?’
‘Cool. Sounds great. C u then x” and with that she got up and made herself breakfast
“How is she?”
“She’s great. A joy to have around.”
“Glad to hear it.”
“I bet you’re missing her?”
“Like crazy!” Lozza laughed
“Aww”
“You couldn’t get Ahmed to drop her off tomorrow afternoon could you?”
“Yeah sure. About 2ish?”
“Yeah”
“Great. Well listen, I better go. Aisha’s running riot and I need to settle her down!”
“Aww ok” Loz laughed after hearing her niece make so much noise “Speak to you soon”
“Yeah. See ya hun”
“Bye”
Loz knew that she had to ring Dunc to see if they were still on for tonight.
It would have been easier to text but she wanted to hear his voice.
“Hello?”
“Hey”
“Loz. Hey”
“How are ya?”
“I’m fine. You?”
“Fine. I was just ringing to see if we were still on for tonight or not?”
“Yeah we are. Listen. I’m sorry about last night. I shouldn’t have been like that with you”
“No you shouldn’t have” Loz said bluntly
“You don’t make it easy do you” He laughed nervously
“That’s not my intention. What time you want me to come round?”
“7.30?”
“Okay. Cool”
“Alright. See ya then”
“Yeah. See ya Dunc”
“Bye” He said and she put the phone down
she hadn’t meant to sound so rude but it just came out
I’d best ring Lee. I have to tell him at some point. And best to get it over with
So she dialled his home number. Which was previously their home.
“Hello?”
“Hey Lee”
“Loz Hey”
“I just rang to see when you wanted to meet”
“You can come round now if you want?”
“Sure”
“Okay. Cool. See you soon then”
“Yeah. See ya” She said and put the phone down.
She grabbed a photo of Jasmine, put it in her bag and left the house
It took her half an hour to get to Lee’s.
She got out of the car and knocked the door
“Hey. Come in”
“Cheers” She said going in
“I’m not stopping for long”
“Okay. You want anything? Drink?”
“No. I’m cool thanks”
“Okay. Well I just wanted to”
“Don’t start making up any excuses Lee. Nothing can change the fact that you cheated on me. Twice”
Lee looked down.
“It’s been three years, and that’s a long time for you to think of an excuse. But I don’t wanna hear it. Just answer me this. Do you care for Rach?”
“Yeah. Yeah I do”
“I know she cares for you and she quite frankly has fallen for you. Cos she was at my house 12am this morning wanting to know where she stood. Apparently you didn’t tell her anything. Why was that Lee?”
“I couldn’t. I didn’t know how”
“Well I’ve told her what happened. And I hear you’re meeting her tonight so I suggest you tell her the same. She wants to hear it from you. And Lee”
“Yeah”
“Don’t mess her about”
“I wont”
“Well I only came cos there’s something that I have to tell you”
“What?”
“Well remember the night that I first caught you?”
“Yeah” he said almost a whisper
“Well the reason why I was looking for you was because I had some news to share with you” She sighed. “That afternoon I went to the doctors and found out that I was pregnant”
“What? And”
“You’re a father of a three year girl” Loz said getting the picture out “I named her Jasmine” she said handing him the picture
“What! I mean how. Why didn’t you tell me?”
“Must I answer that?” she looked at him questioningly. It was a stupid question considering what had happened between them
“You’re right. Wow! I’m a dad.” He said with a smile “Where is she now?”
“She’s with my cousin for the week But she’ll be back at home tomorrow”
“Could I see her? I know that’s a lot to ask from you, considering what I did to you but”
“Yeah. I’ll ring you to arrange when. You can keep that picture”
“Okay. Thanks Loz.”
“No problem” She said getting up. He got up still looking at the picture “See ya”
“Yeah. See ya Loz”
Loz got in her car and drove back home. She had to get herself ready
Chapter fourteen
*Ring ring*
“Hello?”
“We’re on our way over. Goss to tell”
Loz laughed “Okay. See you in a bit”
“You will!”
*Knock Knock*
Loz went to open the door
“Heey”
“Heeeeeey”
“Someone seems chirpy!”
“Hell yes!”
“What happened?”
“I am so glad I’m back in the UK. And thank god she met Lee!” Amal laughed looking at Rach.
“I’m taking you had a good night”
“A very good night. I had some catching up to do”
“Ok. No details! Please!” Loz laughed “What about you miss quiet?”
“I had an amazing night!” Nads said smiling
“Oooh yeah? Sy treat you well did he?”
“He did indeed!”
“Mmm hmm!”
“What about you?”
“Well nothing much to tell apart the fact that I’m going out tonight”
“With Mr. James I presume”
“He’s cooking”
“Oooh. You’ve got him trained already!”
“he offered”
“Well I’m off out tonight as well”
“So am I”
“And me. Don’t think I’m spending Saturday night indoors” Amal laughed
the girls chatted for a bit.
“You lot need to go. I need to get ready!”
“Ooh so do I!”
“Enjoy your night girls! I know I will!”
Loz laughed “See ya girls” She said and shut the door
She went upstairs and started getting ready. Even though it was a night indoors there was no harm in glamming herself up was there?
